Obituary of Kristopher Wayne Berthold
Kristopher was born on Sunday, September 19, 1999.He didn't waste much time attempting to crawl or walk, but instead pulled himself up and ran full speed ahead.
By the time he reached 3 he knew how to spell his name, the letters of the alphabet and could recognize simple words. Counting for him was a breeze. It was no wonder that math and reading would become his favourite subjects.
His interest in books and appetite for stories grew right from the startand not a night could go by without a bedtime story, or two or three. He wasso anxious when the day came to start school and he never missed a day of school until he became sick in December.
Kristopher was kind and generous and extendedhis heart out to everyone he met. He was always eager to help. He was compassionate and exuded kindness and generosity especially toyounger children or to those in need.
Being shy was not in Kristopher's nature. He would speak his mind when he felt the need to and it wouldn't matter to him what others may have thought. He was well spoken and this made him a good salesman during all of the school's fundraisers.
He was a boisterous childwith an infectious laugh. It was natural for him to use hisquick wit and goofy sense of humour to make those around him laugh. He could be very head-strong andstubborn too.
Kristopher liked going to concerts and enjoyed a variety of music. He always had a song in his heart and often would start reciting a verse or two whenever he feltthe urge.
He loved the outdoors and camping as long as the weather was decent. Tenting, fishing, swimmingand boating became planned annual activities along with visiting good friends.
Kristopher enjoyed taking part in many sports and team sports such as soccer and basketball. Over time he became an accomplished swimmer and looked forward to competing in swim meets with the Seals swim team.
On Friday, June 23, 2010 this very brave, 10 year old, amazing child took his last breath inmy arms and earned his wings tobecome an 'Angel Forever'.
He will be remembered forever and deeply missed by his Auntie Annette &Uncle Terry, Auntie Tanya & UncleGordon, his Uncle Benny, his Oma - Liese, his other extended family members, his many friends, and most of allhis brother -Kolten and me, his Mom - Edda.
