Obituary of Micheal Francis Hood

Mikey was taken from us suddenly on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the age of 33 years. As when Mikey lived, he had such impact on all of us. As we all work through our grief we also all take joy that Mikey chose to be a part of all our lives. Mikey lived his life with passion. He was a devoted son, one of a kind father, and the best friend anyone could ever ask for. In the 33 years that Micheal was with us you never doubted the love, kindness and heart that this young man had. It was bigger than life itself. We will never understand why he left so early, with so much left to do, but his legacy lives on first and most foremost through his children. In writing about Mike you could write page after page and never cover how deep the foot prints he left on our hearts are. Even though Micheal had the opportunity to do anything and live anywhere, he chose only to be near to his mother, children and friends. In passing he leaves behind his children Milia and J'Zee; mother Heather; uncle Joe; auntie Allyson; grandpa John; grandmas Gisela and Elsie; father Rodney; aunties Maria, Starr, Gracie, Doreen; and in no particular order his brothers from another mother Chance Eckert, Todd Macland, Richie Lenz, Kallie and Nick Rufcheinski. There are many others that he loved and that love him and they know who they are. They say the more you suffer, the deeper your love and as I sit and see and feel the suffering around me from his family and friends, I take huge comfort knowing that he was so loved by so many. Mikey lived life large. Never make Mikey a ghost, so not be scared to speak his name, although there may be tears, take comfort in keeping him alive for all of us. We love you B.D.H. I love you Son, Heather Micheal's family and friends gathered to say goodbye on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Reynars Funeral Chapel. A celebration of Mikey's life will be held at his home in the near future.
