Obituary of Christopher Sedford

Christopher Michael Sedford was born March 18, 1997 in 100 Mile House, British Columbia. Christopher was the first born son to Michael and Lyn Sedford, and brother to Austin. Christopher was a Sweet, funny, outgoing, sincere, generous kid with a heart of gold. He was affectionately known as Buddy by his parents as he was a friend to all and so easy to get along with. Christopher enjoyed many various activities such as, Salvation Army kids group, Miming, playing the drums, downhill skiing, quadding, biking and giving everybody the peace sign. Chris enjoyed wrestling with his brother. They would set up a mat in their rec room and go at it like they were two WWF warriors until mom could smell them from upstairs, then it was time to take a break. Christopher had just finished his Elementary School years at Parkhill School where he was a good student and well liked. Christopher had accepted the Lord Jesus and became a Christian at Bear Lake Camp in 2005 and continued his walk with God, while attending the Dawson Creek Salvation Army Church. His Grandma Marilyn remembers fondly the day he came to visit her right after his return from his first bible camp. He practically leapt from the car running to her saying excitedly "Grandma Jesus loves me" to which she responded "yes honey I know" and Christopher raised his voice ecstatically, his eyes lit up and said again "No grandma he really loves Me!" At the age of eight Christopher truly knew the love of the lord. Christopher was a helpful and hard working boy, and he never gave up a chance to make people laugh. He was very thoughtful and often thought of others before himself. He had a chance to be in an after school program refurbishing bikes with Grandpa's Bikes. At the end of this program he had the chance to make any type of bike for himself; instead he created a tricycle for his little buddy JR. That was just part of his kind heart and generous nature. Christopher was a dearly loved boy; he will be greatly missed by his parents, Mike & Lyn Sedford, Brother Austin Sedford, Grandparents Bert & Marilyn Sedford, Frank Cox (Predeceased Carina Cox). Uncles and Aunts, Karolyn, Tom, Mindy, Vic and Raffina, Cousins Alexis, Hailey, Kenneth, Nathan, Anna, Leanne, Landon and Logan, as well as his extended family and friends. We will miss your funny ways, your sweet nature and your love, but you will forever reside in our memories and thoughts. Christopher went to go sit at the feet of Jesus on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the age of 13 years. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 25, at 1:30 pm at the Salvation Army Church, Captains Roger & Francie Lee and Leaders John & Rose MacDonald officiated, interment followed in the Brookside Cemetery.
