Obituary of James Hall

James was born on Oct. 5th 1940 to Ernest and Wilfreda Hall in Toronto Ontario. James met Judy Elton in the winter of 1960 and they were married on July 28th 1962. They lived in Toronto until they moved to Edmonton in 1967. In 1980 they bought a house in Hay Lakes Alberta where they resided until they moved to Chetwynd BC which James and Judy always referred to as Gods Country. In between all this moving James and Judy started their family. They opened up their hearts to four beautiful children: Jason, born March 6th 1967, Stacey, born September 24th, 1968, Kelly, born July 2nd 1977 and Melodie, born July 24, 1978. Sadly Melodie passed away in 1989. James worked as a Baker at Safeway for many years, he was a baker at heart. Family, church and community were very important to James. He loved to make his Imperial cheese popcorn for his grandchildren and a system of letter writing. If you wrote him a letter he would call you instead of writing. When he could he always came down to visit family and bring his good friend Virgil with him. One thing you could count on was your early morning birthday call, the earlier he called the louder he sang. His phone calls on birthdays and special occasions when he could not be present will be missed by many. James enjoyed his swimming, Lions club and the senior's club activities as well as morning coffee at the A&W with his buddies and his ladies as he called them. James had two other passions in life, his cats and his love for his wife Judy who passed away in 2006. James passed away on September 14, 2010 in Chetwynd, BC at the age of 69 years. A memorial service for James will be held at a later date.
