Obituary of Randolf Scott Nichols

Randy was born on Saturday, October 15, 1955 in Dawson Creek, B.C. to Tommy and Carroll Nichols. He grew up in and around the Chetwynd area spending his early childhood and teen years in the Sukunka Valley. In 1978 Randy met Tannia Rosendahl and on April 28, 1979 they married. In 1981 they were blessed with a son Chuck followed by a daughter Brandy in 1984, they had a perfect family so they thought and in 1991 along came Tom and they realized that only now was it perfect. Randy worked for numerous people in the area running skidder, dozer and driving truck. He went to work for Brocor and that was where he stayed. While working there, he ended up working on the installation of the Bear Mountain wind mills. He became fascinated with this and was very knowledgeable. Two weeks ago Randy and I were talking about site C and ended up on wind power in BC, he let me know how many wind mills were going where and when they were projected to be finished and supply power. These wind mills had become another passion to go along with his passion for Gold mining, which he had shared with his uncle Joe for the last ten years. Some of the other things that Randy enjoyed was John Wayne movies, Louis Lamour books, and music especially Elvis Presley. His greatest passion was his family; he was so proud of his children and loved his grandchildren dearly. Randy passed away quietly with his best friend Tannia by his side on Monday, October 4, 2010 in Chetwynd, B.C. at the age of 54 years.
