Obituary of Andrew Marshall Kilborn
Andrew Marshall Kilborn (better known as Andy) a long time resident of Tumbler Ridge, B.C. passed away on Monday, October, 18, 2010 in Dawson Creek, at the age of 52 years.
Andy was born on Friday, July 18, 1958 in Dryden, Ontario. He was the fourth child of five born to his parents Eileen and Norman Kilborn. His father was a miner so the family moved around the Thunder Bay area.
Andy lived and worked in Grande Cache, Tumbler Ridge and Fort McMurray before moving back to Tumbler Ridge where he worked for Quintette, Syncrude and Wolverine (Western Coal). He was the past executive of the Tumbler Ridge Legion and was a member of the Mine and Fire Rescue at Quintette and Syncrude.
Andy loved hunting, fishing, camping and quading. He loved all country music and rock and roll. He loved his family and friends. His laugh was contagious. Andy worked hard, played hard, loved life and was deeply loved.
Andy is survived by his wife Shelley, daughters Shelley and Penny, sons Darren and Jorden, his mother Eileen, sisters Susan, Lorri, Lorraine, Shirley and brothers Jim and Rob. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kirk, Tamara, Breanna, Creston and Adam.
Andy was predeceased by his father Norman.

A funeral service was held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Tumbler Ridge Community Centre, Pastor Bill Evans officiated, interment followed in the Tumbler Ridge Cemetery, Tumbler Ridge, B.C.
