Obituary of Eugene Michael Julian Testawich

Eugene Michael Julian Testawich was born in Dawson Creek, BC on December 16, 1961. Eugene was raised by his grandparents Walter and Agnes Testawich. His grandfather passed away in 1967, leaving his grandmother and other siblings to raise him. In 1963 he fell off a washstand where he was being washed and broke his elbow very badly. He spent the next 6 months in the Vancouver hospital. Eugene had plastic inserted into his elbow which bothered him most of his life. In 1965 Eugene went to live with his sister Norma and her husband John at Dunkley Lumber, he stayed there until he had to return home to attend school. Eugene lived in Chetwynd until 1966 when the Testawich family moved to Williams Lake, B.C. While in the Caribou region he worked mostly in the bush, logging. He ran power saw, although he much preferred to run machinery. Eugene lived around the Caribou area until he moved back to the Chetwynd in the early 90's. Eugene loved hunting and fishing. When he was young he spent a lot of time with Melvin and his family hunting, fishing and camping. Eugene had a lot of talent and created many beautiful art pieces. His sense of humour was unbelievable and his laugh was very unique, it made life just a little more pleasurable having him around. Eugene always had a lot of true friends around him, because he was a very likeable person.
