Obituary of Rocky Ronnie Douglas
Rocky was born on September 1, 1947 in the Vancouver General Hospital. He was the youngest child born to Alfred and Alma Douglas. Rocky had two brothers John and Barney and two sisters Pauline and Wilma.
Rocky's family moved from Vancouver to Langley where Rocky met his wife to be, Sharon in Grade nine at North Surrey Senior Secondary School. Courting Sharon for five years, they got married on August 31, 1969 in Walnut Grove Langley. In April 1972 Rocky and Sharon journeyed to Dawson Creek, and started a family.
Raising his family on a quarter section in Arras, Rocky was happy being a Truck Driver and a Hobby Farmer. As the family grew older Rocky down sized to a smaller acreage closer to town. Rocky was content working at his final job as a yard manager at a lumber yard.
Rocky passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in Dawson Creek, B.C. at the age of 63 years.
Rocky was predeceased by his Mother and Father; Alma and Alfred Douglas and his Brother; John Douglas.
Rocky is survived By his loving wife of 41 years Sharon, Son; David (Louise), Daughter; Janice (Clint); Grandson Robert, Brother; Barney Douglas in Gig Harbor, Sisters; Pauline Grobey from Tacoma and Willma Nairne from Abbotsford.
Rocky was loved lots, will always be missed and never be forgotten.
With respect to Rocky's wishes no funeral service will be held.
