Obituary of Betty Jean Mickle
Betty was born on February 12, 1922 in Rockyford, Alberta. She passed away peacefully after a brief illnesson Friday, January 28, 2011, at the Chetwynd Hospital at the age of 88. Betty had been a long-time resident of the Chetwynd area, having moved to Lone Prairie from the Columbia Valleyin 1961. Betty later moved to Chetwynd in 1973 and has resided here since that time.
Betty was predeceased by her long-time partner and friend, George Mounsey, who passed on July 11, 2007, and her son Charles Edward Mickle.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Marlene and Lori, her sisters; Isabele and Thelma and her brothers; Doug, Don and Elmer and numerous grandchildren and great-grand children. She will be sadly missed by her familyand friends.
In honour of Betty's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Betty to Surerus Place, Box 1679, 5353 47th Ave, Chetwynd, BC V0C 1J0, where she was cared for with love and kindness in her final months.
