Obituary of Barry Lionel Hunder

Barry Lionel Hunder (The Bear) was born on April 14, 1952 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. He was the third eldest of twelve children of Albert and Margaret Hunder. They moved to the Peace River Country when Barry was about three years old with their Uncle Allie Hunder joining their household. Barry spent his childhood growing up on the farm, and went to school in Pouce Coupe and Dawson Creek. They had cows, pigs, horses, fowl etc and always had a big garden so he grew up with farm chores which eventually gave him a very good work ethic. He did his fair share of the work in the house. Barry helped with the cooking and was well known for his bread making skills. He was particular about how things were done and would even iron his clothes. Barry loved to hunt with his brothers and he enjoyed the outdoors. He also loved to work in the North. Barry worked for various companies's but was with Borek Construction for approximately 25 years, as an Equipment Operator, his favourite piece of equipment was a Cat. Barry had a very good work ethic. On December 23, 2003 Barry married Marg who he affectionately called Muffie. After a few years they moved to Arras where they continued to live until Barry's passing. Barry will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Barry is survived by his loving wife of seven years; Marg, Stepson; Allen, Mother; Margaret, Brothers; Myles (Gale), Randy (Marilyn), Glen (Kathy), Reg (Chris), Sisters; Sharon, Dixie (Lenord) and Gwen (Larry), many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
