Obituary of Scotty Brewster

Justin Waldegrave Brewster was born on October 7, 1925 in Saskatchewan. He entered eternal rest on February 25, 2011 in Chetwynd, B.C., at the age of 85 years. A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Chetwynd. Pastor Bill Evans officiated; interment will be at a later date. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Scotty to the Royal Canadian Legion Hall Branch # 258 or to the Chetwynd Hospital Foundation. Scotty is Survived by; his wife Marjorie of 55 years Brother - Lyman Brewster & wife Bertha, Sons; Cyril (Tarla) & Curtis (Bette) And daughter; Carol.Grandchildren; Carla, Lael, Brittny, Mallory, Brody, Dustin, Great Grandchildren: Braedyn, London and Bella. Sister-in-laws; Ethel Brewster, Eva Brewster, Marion Brewster, Dorothy Tait, Isabel Edwardson, Doreen (Del) McCormick, Irene (Lee) Wright, Valerie Kelly, Brother-in-law; Alex (Lorraine) Kelly, Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. We were sincerely touched by the love and compassion shown to our family in the passing of Scotty. To the Doctors, nurses, respiratory specialists and hospital staff who over the 8 years cared for Scotty in his difficult battle, we are indeed grateful, we are sure you will all remember the jokes told and retold over the years. To Pastor Bill who with prayers and laughter helped us to carry on. With thanks to the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Baptist Church women and Mavis & Bob Walkden for all the food for the lunch. Also to all the friends who brought food and sent flowers and made donations to the Hospital Foundation & Royal Canadian Legion. To Bob Shirley & Ann Steeves & the Legion Members for their preparation of the Legion Service and Sharon Siller & Ross Roberts for their wonderful music and Lisa Meier for her assistance.
