Obituary of Rose Freeman
Rose Freeman a resident of Dawson Creek, BC was born on January 12, 1943 in Hay Lakes, Alberta. Rose was the youngest of 11 children to Alphonse and Mary Freeman. Rose passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Dawson Creek, B.C. at the age of 68 years.
Rose attended residential school in Assumpsion from 1950 to 1959. Rose then moved to High Level, Alberta where she had her two oldest children Johnny Joe who was born in 1967, and Wanda who was born in 1968. In 1969 Rose moved to Dawson Creek. In 1971 she had a second daughter Karen. One year later she had her youngest son Donald. At the age of 45 she had her first grandchild Priscilla whom she raised until the age of fourteen.
Rose was a very independent woman and had her own way of doing things. She loved knitting and quilting.
Rose will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Rose is survived by her long time Companion; Ray Ross, Sister; Elizabeth, Sons; Johnny Joe (Cindy) Freeman, Donald (Christine) Cameron, Daughters; Wanda (Brad) Freeman, Karen (Dione) Freeman, Priscilla Freeman, Grandchildren; Darcy, Jeremy, Nikita, Mercedes, Litonya, Brandon, Jesse, Dylan, Gary, and Great grandson; Jayden 'Muskwa'.
Rose was predeceased by her Parents; Alphonse and Mary Freeman, Brothers; John, Frederick, Jeremie, William, Peter, Sisters; Madeline, Marie Christine, and Louise.
A wake was held on Monday March 14, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Nawican Friendship Centre in Dawson Creek.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 15, at 1:00 pm at the Notre Dame Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Anyasoro officiated. Interment followed in the Riverview Cemetery, Pouce Coupe, B.C. Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
