Obituary of Daniel Prevost

Danny was born at the Prevost farm in Saskatchewan on September 24, 1946. He passed away peacefully at the Dawson Creek Hospital on March 18, 2011 at the age of 64 years. His family and friends will greatly miss his fun loving personality. Danny enjoyed camping, horseback riding and extended trail rides and hunting trips. He was a faithful Blue Jays fan and excelled at playing card games. As a couple, Danny and Elaine enjoyed many long lasting friendships. He was active in a number of community organizations including Big Brothers, PARDS and as a volunteer for the Grovedale Fire Department. For the majority of his life he was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator with Alberta Transportation and the County of Grande Prairie. However, his favourite job was time spent as the manager of a Senior's Housing Apartment project in Williams Lake. Danny enjoyed working and was valued for both his work ethic, outstanding job performance and his friendly relationships with co-workers. At the time of his death, Danny was employed by Wilson Timberline of Dawson Creek. Danny was predeceased by his father Rene and his mother Hilda. His memory will be cherished by Elaine, his wife of 32 years, daughter Teresa (Larry), grandchildren Larry and Tiffany, by his son David (Irene) and granddaughter Jesse. Danny will be greatly missed by his brothers, Norman (Leona), Bobbie (Nicole), his sisters Margaret (Chyna), Sharon (John), Lorraine, and their children. He was a favourite of his large extended family of sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Danny is, and always will be, fondly remembered by family members and so many good friends. A memorial service was held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Hythe Alliance Church, Reverend Terry Hatfield Officiated, Interment followed in the Hythe Cemetery, Hythe Alberta.
