Obituary of Jack Makela

Jack Oscar Makela was born on Thursday, June 7, 1945 in Ylistaro, Finland to Frans and Saima. Jack passed away peacefully at the Dawson Creek Hospital, with his family by his side on December 6, 2011 in Dawson Creek at the age of 66 years. Jack leaves to mourn, his son Christopher Redden of Ontario, Mother Saima Makela, Eric (Milka) Makela of Kamloops, B.C. Markku (Linda) Makela of Dawson Creek, B.C. Veikko (Marnie) Makela of Slave Lake, Alberta, Maija ( Frank) Werrun of Burnaby, B.C. Elsa & Peter Vesaniemi of Dawson Creek, B.C. Sisko (Dave) Robetson of Burnaby, B.C. many Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Jack was predeceased by his brothers; Olavi Makela, Matti Makela, Onni Makela, his son Leonard Redden and his father Frans (Frank) Makela. We would like to thank everyone who visited with Jack through the last few years in the hospital and at Rotary Manor. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses and all the staff who took such good care of him. May God Bless you all. Jack's family will never forget him. He was a good brother and friend.
