Obituary of John Gerstel
John a resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at 83 years of age. He was born June 11,1928 in Kolomyja, Galicia, Poland. A Graveside service was held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Tuscoola Mountain, Cemetery, Chetwynd, British Columbia. Father Vener Sabacan officiated. Loving brother of Rose Campbell, Otto (Eva) Grestel, Liz (Frank) Campbell, Tina Mary, and Steffie (Gordon) Hora. John has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. John is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maria Gerstel, brothers Joseph, Max, Martin, Sigmund, and brothers in-law Dougal Campbell and Bill Mary. Expressions of sympathy in memory of John, may be made by donation to the Rotary Manor Care facility, 1121 - 90 Ave, Dawson Creek, British Columbia V1G 5A3.
