Obituary of Ole Eugene Walker
Ole was born on March 13, 1967 in Vanderhoof, BC. He was the oldest of two boys to Dennis & Carol Walker; his younger brother, Randy was born in 1970.
Ole started his career at West Fraser where he was a certified Saw Filer. He later moved to Prince Rupert where he continued work as a saw filer for West Fraser. When Ole decided he needed a career change, he got his class 1 driver license and discovered his true calling as a truck driver.
Ole eventually moved back home to Chetwynd in 2005 and started driving truck for Pine River Holdings. Oh how he loved being a trucker. Ole cherished his countless friends and loved camping, boating and fishing most of all.
Ole passed away peacefully on May 17, 2012 in Chetwynd, BC at the age of 45 years.
Ole was predeceased by his mother Carol Walker. Ole is survived by his father, Dennis Walker (Theresa), brother- Randy Walker (Tammy),niece-Amanda Walker (Luke), nephew- Jordan Walker, step-Daughter- Christine Garner, step siblings- Lana Best, Mike Best (Lisa), Tonia Leronowich, Tracy Leronowich, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Ole's life will be held on Friday June 08, 2012 at 2:30 pm at the Baptist Church in Chetwynd, BC. Pastor Bill Evans will officiate. Interment will be at a later date.
