Obituary of Richard Gordon Aldridge
Richard Gordon Aldridge was born on September 3, 1947 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Rick was the only child of Charles and Audrey Aldridge. As a young boy Rick enjoyed all sports. In 1963 Rick curled representing Alberta at the Canadian School - Boys Championships in Guelph, Ontario. Rick and his team mates came out victorious with a record of 27 wins, 0 losses bringing the trophy and a great deal of pride home to Edmonton. Rick was active in the Dawson Creek Curling Club, the Golf Club and the Royal Canadian Legion.
On April 21st Rick passed away peacefully and quietly with Brenda by his side and the people he loved around him. Rick will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Charles and Audrey Aldridge.
Rick is survived by his loving companion Brenda Cryne, partner and friend; George (Sharon) Aldridge, son; Michael (Trish) Aldridge, Step children; Coralee (Wayne) Cryne, Natasha (J.P.) Legault and Wade Cryne, Grandchildren; Heather, Adrienne and Grady Aldridge, Step grandchildren; Zachary, Alexis, Tanayea, Hannah and Bryxx Legault and Jordanna Cryne.
A celebration of Rick's life was held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Dawson Creek Curling Club.
