Bill immigrated to Canada in 1956 looking for a new life for his wife, children and himself. He settled in northern Ontario where he worked in a gold mine for a year before settling in Lynn Lake, Manitoba working for Sherritt Gordon Mines as an industrial mechanic. In 1971, he got a call from a friend of his who was working in Logan Lake, BC at Lornex (now HVC) and decided to move himself and mom west in the fall of 1972.
After retiring in 1991, dad lived in Merritt, BC, Innisfail, AB, Red Deer, AB then moved to Dawson Creek, BC three years ago.
Upon settling in Dawson Creek, dad used his considerable charm and sense of humor to make many new friends, he touched so many hearts with a twinkle in his eye and a sparkle in his smile, his dry English wit kept everyone smiling-he will be greatly missed by us all.
Bill's family would like to thank the staff and friends at Peace River Haven, Rotary Manor and the Dawson Creek Hospital for friendship and their loving care. We would also like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Richard and Sandy at Reynars Funeral Home for their gentle care of our dad. Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
