Obituary of Margaret Rose Berkner
Margaret Rose Berkner known as Marg Marg a resident of Chetwynd and former resident of Dawson Creek passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 at the age of 72. She was born in Winfield, Alberta on August 30, 1939 to Frank and Janne Chruikshanks. She is the oldest girl of eight children. Marge always enjoyed visiting and chatting with everyone and believed that honesty is always best. She grew up and went to school in East Pine, British Columbia. She was raised to work hard, never lie, and to go to church regularly. She then went on to work all over in the oil patch as a second cook, cleaner, and baby sitter. When she had a break from work she enjoyed berry picking, canning, and flower gardening. Marge is predeceased by her brother Theodore (Teddy), sisters Syvia, and Bernice, and her parents. She will be fondly remembered by her common law spouse Jake Bartsch, brothers George, Ralph, and Raymond, sisters Julie, Beverly, and Evelyn, numerous nieces and nephews. At Marge's request there will be no funeral service. She was cremated and her cremated remains will be interred in her father's grave at Mountainview Cemetery in Groundbirch, British Columbia.
