Obituary of Kenneth Andre Pouliot
Ken was born in Uranium City, Saskatchewan on July 25, 1956. It was two years later, when Fernande and Armand Pouliot adopted Kenneth Andrew Pouliot and they became a family residing on their farm in Debden, Saskatchewan. In 1965, their family moved from Saskatchewan to Port Alberni, British Columbia. This was where Ken spent his childhood and early twenties. While living in Cranbrook, BC, in 1988, Ken met Miss Penny Thomas. They had two children: Shelly Pouliot (1990) and Wesley Pouliot (1992). Ken resided throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Ken came to live in Chetwynd, BC in 2005. Ken worked in building maintenance for a number of apartment and business complexes within the community of Chetwynd. Ken passed away suddenly, from a heart attack, on the evening of September 13, 2012. Ken is pre-deased by his mother Fernande Pouliot (February 1988). Ken is survived by his daughter Shelly Pouliot from Chetwynd , BC and his son Wesley Pouliot from Pincher Creek, Alberta, his father Armand Pouliot and his sister Leanne Lacey (Pouliot) both from Dawson Creek, BC. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Chetwynd Fellowship Baptist Church in Chetwynd, British Columbia. Ken's urn will be interred beside his mother in St. Peter's Cemetery, Port Alberni, British Columbia at a later date.
