Al passed away peacefully in Chetwynd on the night of October 5, 2012. Al was born in Kingston, Ontario but spent the majority of his adult life in Dawson Creek and Chetwynd, B.C. He will be forever remembered by Lexie, his wife of 46 years; his daughter Susannah (Dewayne), their children Cassie and Cole; his son Michael (Michele) their children Kaleb and Mylene. He is also survived by his brother Doug (Evelyn) and family; his sister Margaret (Dave) and family; and sister Ethel and family. Al began his career as a surveyor and then a member of the Fire Department in Dawson Creek, B.C. He decided he needed a change and went back to school to begin his career as a Forest Technician. He worked for Canfor (Chetwynd Division) for the next 27 years while he raised a family. Al was very actively involved with the Royal Canadian Legion as the Legion representative for the Air Cadets and Air Cadet League of Canada. He spent many years supporting the youth of the Chetwynd community. Al enjoyed partying with friends, hunting and fishing. His retirement in 1998 found him spending time in streams, lakes and on the ocean trying to catch the big one. Al was very proud of his two children and four grandchildren. He was so proud of the accomplishments they have achieved personally and professionally. Al will also be remembered for his sense of humour, his caring and considerate nature and the guidance, love and support he gave his children. He will be sadly missed and remembered by friends and family. With respect to Al's wishes no formal funeral service will be held. Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home and Crematorium.
