Obituary of Crystal Lillian Gauthier
Crystal Lillian Gauthier, was born on Dec. 22, 1978 to Lynn Mavis Gauthier in Chetwynd B.C. Crystal was raised by her Moosum and Koomum, Oliver and Lillian, spending most of her years in Moberly Lake. She lived with her mom in Kamloops, where she attended a Catholic School for four years. Even though she did not like her school uniform at this school, the positive side, was that she developed her faith in God, she was a strong believer in prayer. It was around this time that she moved in with her Godparents, Ray and Norma at Victoria.
Before returning to Moberly Lake, Crystal lived in Merritt, where she made numerous friends and had lots of fond memories. The final year and a half at Merritt, Crystal managed to talk to Lisa into moving with her. When she was 15 years old, she met the love of her life, Josh Cameron.
She knew at this age, she had found her man; this was in July,1996. They had their first child, Reece Alexander Cameron, and thus a new family was created. They made a life together in Chetwynd, where they lived in a little apartment. She was very proud of her little family, and this young couple loved each other so much. In 1999, Crystal and Josh moved into their new family home at the Lakeview Subdivision at Moberly Lake to which they still have to this day.
Since Crystal had Reece at a young age, she was busy with her family which was a priority at that time. When she was around 18 - 19, she succeeded in obtaining her GED Diploma and then went on for Applied Business Technology at Northern Lights College in Chetwynd. It was in 2000, that Crystal was devastated by a great loss of her mother Lynn, of whom she dearly loved. She went every day to Lynn's trial till it was over, that was the hardest part of her young life.
In Sept 6th, 2001 Crystal and Josh welcomed their second child, Ethan Eric Coleman Cameron, now there were four in their small family. When Reece was a baby, Josh went on a big fishing trip in Hazelton B.C. After a week of fishing, Josh called Cyrstal to come and pick him up. As a true loving and dedicated mother, she packed up baby Reece and drove 13 hours to pick up her man, and brought him home.
In 2005, Crystal was employed by the SFN as the Housing Coordinator. She loved her job, because she loved to serve the community, and I must say that she did a very good job. She loved everyone there, the staff and the band members of whom she was working for. In May 2nd, 2002 another son came along; he was Phinn Joshua Cameron, another bundle of joy. And in Jan 17, 2010, she had a beautiful blessing, Gracie Lynn Stephanie Cameron, sometime known as "Little Sister." Well Little Sister was the answer to Crystal's prayers of having a baby girl, now her little family was complete.
Around 2007, Crystal was elected into counsel and she served her term to the best of her knowledge, even though politics was not her forte, she did better than most.
Crystal had a soft part of her that was always seen, she loved the elders and had so much respect for them. She taught her little family about this respect and love and you can see that in her boys. She was a simple person, didn't like anything fancy, even her food, just simple.
She was a social person, easy to talk to and would just to talk to anyone. She touched a lot of people in such a short life span in a positive way and she always stressed that she loved her family, her cousins, her kookums, all her family, including her own. She always said, "Call me if you need me, or help in any way."Well Crystal, I guess from now on when we see stars up there; you'll be up there with the angels looking down upon us. And I'm sure that when we call for help, you will be the first one to tell the other angels, "Come, we must help our loved ones." Thank you sweetheart, we love you so much, God be with you.
