Obituary of Archie Cornock

Archie Cornock was born on December 8, 1941 on the homestead in Tupper, BC to his loving parents Dennis and Anne Cornock. Archie was the youngest of six kids. Bruce, Maurice, Bertha, Ruth, and Charlie rounded out the rest of the Cornock siblings. Archie grew up in Tupper Creek and went to school at South Swan Lake and consistent with most children of that day, attended school long enough to get a solid educational background which would prepare him to enter the work force. His first job was with Imperial Lumber mill at Monkman's Pass. From there Archie moved through a few jobs until he landed a job as a grader operator with BC Ministry of Highways. They say he was one of the best operators they had. In the mid 1960's Archie met Francis Sunderman through his close friend Claire Renninger, who coincidently was married to Pat (formerly Sunderman) Francis' sister. They married in the winter of 1967 in the United Church in Calgary, Alberta. In August of 1968 Shelly was born and a few years later in June of 1970 Sandy came along. He was so proud of his girls, and although it was seldom you ever heard him boost about anything, he did brag about his girls. And why not! Archie a long time resident of Pouce Coupe, B.C. passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 in Dawson Creek, at the age of 70 years. A visitation was held on Friday, October 12, at 7:00 pm from Reynars Funeral Chapel. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Pouce Coupe Royal Canadian Legion Hall. Pastor Corey Lizotte officiated, Interment followed in the River View Cemetery, Pouce Coupe, B.C. Archie has gone to join his loving Parents; Dennis & Anne Cornock, Brother; Bruce Cornock, and Sister; Bertha Cornock. Archie leaves to mourn his loving daughters; Sandy (Brock) Fellers, Shelly Kennedy, Grandchildren; Bruce Fellers, Aaron Fellers, Savannah Kennedy, Laine Kennedy, Brothers; Charlie (Myrtle) Cornock, Morris Cornock, Sisters; Ruth Cornock, Joan Cornock, Nephews; Dave, Ray, Dennis, Steve, Larry, Mel, Darcy, Lance, Randy, Nieces; Janet, Dale, Lorraine, Honorary Daughters; Jessica (Todd), Roseanne, numerous cousins, extended family and many, many special friends.
