Obituary of Roy James Desjarlais

Roy was a humble man that lived his life to the fullest. Roy started guiding in the mountains at a young age. That is what he did for many years. Roy had two sons Dennis and Corey with his first wife Eunice Crocker. He was good with horses. He was also a craftsman, good with his hands. His place was in the mountains, or in the bush. As the years went on he entered a new relationship with Madeline Oker and they had two sons, Dusty and Rusty. He loved his kids dearly, he always talked about his boys and grandchildren. He loved music and playing guitar and will be missed by many. Roy a long time resident of Moberly Lake, B.C., passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Moberly Lake, at the age of 60 years. A wake was held on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 7:00 pm, at the Saulteau Community Hall, Moberly Lake, BC. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 23, at 11:00 am, at the Saulteau Community Hall, Fr. Vener Sabacan officiated. Interment followed in the Lake View Cemetery, Moberly Lake, BC. Roy was predeceased by his Father; Jimmy Cardinal, Grandparents; Louie & Adalaide Desjarlais and Sister; Charlotte Jobin. Roy is survived by his loving Wife; Shirley Desjarlais, Sons; Dennis, Corey , Dusty, & Rusty. Daughter; Sonya Desjarlais, Parents; Mary & Warren Glover, Brothers; Blaine, Keith (Denise), Kirby, Warren Junior (Rita) Sisters; Cindy Obrien, Julia Jobin, Grandchildren; Dennis Jr, Shacree, Aaliyah, Robyn, Neolthan-Sus, Meleah, Sekodah, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
