Obituary of Joanne Lorraine Bennett
Joanne Lorraine Bennett 1931 ~2013 long time resident of Dawson Creek, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 81 years of age. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2 pm at the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 908 - 104 Avenue, Dawson Creek. Prayer service will be on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 7 pm at Bergeron Funeral Chapel. She will be remembered by her sons: Larry and Shane Bennett, grandchildren: Bobbi (Cory) Turchenek, Cole Robertson (Scott Fullerton) and Sean (Stacey)Robertson, and great-grandchildren: Braydon and Dayton Turchenek, Ashlyn and Makayla Robertson, and her sister, Lois Allan and family. Joanne was a proud member of the Catholic Woman's League, The Royal Canadian Legion, a member and volunteer for the Hospital Auxiliary, and she fondly remembered being honoured with the Winning Rink, Alberta Provincial and Second, Dominion Diamond "D" Curling Playoffs.
