Obituary of Sonja Phyllis Coenders

Sonja Phyllis Coenders passed away on January 29, 2013 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia at 63 years of age. She was born on November 3, 1949 in Vancouver, British Columbia. A Social Gathering was held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Bergeron Funeral Services Social Room Dawson Creek, British Columbia January 29, 2013 we said goodbye to a very special lady. Sonja was a fighter who didn't let anything stand in her way. She went through a blizzard to give birth to Dan and went back to work after being a stay at home mom for 25 years. She would do anything to take care of her family. She didn't complain or feel sorry for herself as she fought Lupus and Cancer for the 3rd time. She was always thinking about us and making sure we were ok. Before she passed away she said how lucky she was to have such a wonderful son who brought us together. She got a daughter and Jolene got a mom. Forty five years were shared between Bob and Sonja they loved each other so much and took such great care of each other. Their greatest joy has been their grandson Joshua. He brought smiles and laughter back into their lives. Sonja's fighting days are over now and she is at peace. The strong woman she was will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed.
