Obituary of AGNES VERONICA "AGATHA" BOYD
AGNES (AGATHA) VERONICA BOYD (nee EXNER) 1923 - 2013 " I bow to the All Creating Power From which I came and to which I am returning." ~Wayne Dyer It is with sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother into the hands of the Our Creator. Agnes Veronica Boyd passed away peacefully on March 24, 2013 at the Dawson Creek Hospital at the age of 89 years with her sons Craig, AJ, and AJ's wife, Linda, at her side. Born into a large family and being the third youngest, she was one of two remaining living sisters. Her sister Margaret Schwartz (Exner) now survives her. The Exner family immigrated to Canada in the late 1800's and most settled in the Grayson, Saskatchewan area. Anthony (Anton) Exner and his wife Anna moved their family to the Deadwood area of the Peace River Valley and farmed there until a few years before the death of Anton in 1969. While working in Peace River, Agnes met Earnest Andrew Boyd and married him. Agnes and Ernie moved to the Dawson Creek area in 1953. Agnes loved travelling, camping, dancing, gardening, and cooking. Agnes was predeceased by her husband Ernie in 1955 and her son Dale in 2007. Agnes is survived by her daughter: Lillian (Yeager), sons: AJ (Linda) and Craig, grandchildren: John Boyd, Leanne (Dave) Buck, Laura, David, and Julia Yeager, and Stevan and Kate-Lynn Boyd, great grandchildren: Andrew and Michael Boyd, Jayden Wied, and Jasmine and Travis Buck.
