Obituary of Gary Gene Studley
Gary Gene Studley passed away peacefully in his home in Selwyn Place Apartments on July 30th, 2013. Gary previously resided in Farmington and Sunrise Valley, BC, as well as in Meadowlands, Minnesota. He was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta on February 11th, 1937, the first child of William Henry (Bill) Studley and Gwendolyne (Gwen) Elda Studley. He grew up on the farm in Sunrise Valley, BC and attended the local one-room country school. At the age of 18, he attended an agricultural course at University of British Columbia. Gary worked on the farm, in logging camps and lumber mills and was a certified lumber grader.
Gary was predeceased by his wife Mary Jane. Gary is survived by his step children in Minnesota and a large and loving family in BC. His easy smile and quick sense of humour will be sorely missed.
Gary will be laid to rest at a family ceremony at the Sunrise Valley Cemetery on August 30th. Family and friends are invited to share fond memories of Gary at a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 31st between 1:00 and 4:00 pm at the Sudeten Hall in the Pioneer Village, Dawson Creek.
