Obituary of Marlene Amelia Gagnon
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marlene Gagnon a long time resident of Chetwynd, B.C. who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, January 18th, 2014, in the Chetwynd General Hospital at the age of 81 years. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Marlene was predeceased by her father and mother, brothers Leslie, Arthur, Melvin, Alfred and Stanley and sister Darlene. She leaves behind her husband Leonard Gagnon, daughter Leola Brooks (Craig) of Whitehorse, son Darcy Gagnon (Suzan) of Chetwynd. Grandchildren Cody, Jennifer, Dylan, Alex and Samantha. Great granddaughters Destiny and Patience. Siblings Evelyn (Demmans), Shirley (Wynn), Viola (Knight), Elroy Nelson, Norman Nelson and many nieces and nephews.
She will long be remembered for always having hearty home cooking and delicious baking served to anyone who visited her. With respect to Marlene's wishes no formal funeral service will be held.
A celebration of Marlene's life will be held at a later date.
