Obituary of Lena Vina Giroux
Lena Vina Giroux 1944-2014 Lena Vina Giroux long-time resident of Dawson Creek, BC passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia at 69 years of age. Lena was a very good cook and loved to clean. A favorite activity was to go visit with people and go out with her friends. She loved music, dancing and bingo. You could always find Lena laughing and making jokes. She was born on April 23, 1944 to her loving parents Samual Yellowknee and Alice Giroux. Lena is survived by her daughters Pauline McGregor (David Harvey), Martha Yellowknee, Rhonda Rule, Corrine Briggs, and Debbie Yellowknee. She is pre-deceased by her sisters and brothers Eva Belcourt, Lorraine Laboucan, Marie Hamlyn, Sarah Calliou, Roy, Ted, Lawrence and Eugene Yellowknee. A wake will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Nawican Friendship Centre in Dawson Creek, British Columbia at 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Bergeron Funeral Chapel, Dawson Creek, British Columbia at 4:00pm. Pastor Cory Lizotte will officiate. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Lena may be made by donation to the charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Bergeron Funeral Services & Crematorium Ltd.
