Obituary of Frank David Rudyk
Frank David Rudyk was born September 11th, 1940 in Edmonton, Alberta to his parents Paul and Mary Rudyk. Frank was one of eight children born to Paul and Mary. Frank spent time in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a truck driver and enjoyed both long and short haul trips. Frank worked at the Cominco Mine in Pine Point, Northwest Territories, and at the Quintette Mine in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. Frank loved music and singing, playing both the guitar and the violin. Fishing was also a favourite pastime. Frank had a great sense of humour, he loved to laugh and smile. He was a wonderful storyteller and loved to tell stories of his youth and his time in the Navy. Frank passed away on August 7th, 2014 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary Rudyk, and by his sisters Iris, Hazel, and Shirley. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife Doreen; children MaryAnn (Peter) Wiebe, Faith Kruk, and Lew Rudyk; stepchildren Terry Trussel, Wendy (Dave) Adams ; grandchildren Mark Adams, Mike Adams, Brad Rudyk, Samantha (Devin) Gillingham, Zachary Wiebe, and Austin Campbell; greatgrandson Mason Rudyk; siblings Katherine Radley, Len Rudyk, Jerry Rudyk, and Gladys. A private family service will be held at a later date.
