Obituary of Norman Roger Bruneau
Norman Bruneau 1961 ~ 2015 Born on June 3rd, 1961, Norman passed away on May 7th, 2015 at the age of 53. Norman was the 7th child of Louisa and Paul's family of 12. Being that Norman was a middle child he was able to tag along with his brothers and sisters on many occasions, making many cherished memories. As a youngster Norman loved to go bottle picking, that was his candy money. Norman also developed the sense of wanting to be included when it came to building things; he had a share in building forts and the building of rafts to dock in many water holes. When Norman decided to leave the nest in the early 80's he made his way to Pine Point, Northwest Territories to join his brothers and sisters in hope of finding work. During one of his visits home Norman met Ethel and a relationship blossomed into something special. Together they had 3 sons. After working in Pine Point for a few years Norman and Ethel moved back to Leoville and Norman tried his hand at farm work for a while. Several years later into their relationship Norman and Ethel decided to part ways. Moving to Tumbler Ridge, B.C in the late 80's, Norman had found his niche. He realized that mining was what he was meant to do.
It was there he met his wife Carol. Together they raised 4 boys and were later blessed with 5 grandchildren. Norman loved to spend time with his grandkids and found it easy to spoil them. Norman was the quiet one of the family but that didn't mean he wasn't up for mischief, or letting loose once in a while. Norman loved the outdoors and enjoyed a variety of all music even to the point of wanting to learn how to do the 2 step. Left to cherish Norman's memory are: his loving wife, Carol, his children: Shawn (Krista), Richard (Val), Trendon (April), Chris (Leanne), Lance, Kyle, Brandon (Taylor), his grandchildren, his mother, Louisa Bruneau, his brothers and sisters: Lucille Larrivee, Andrew (Debbie), Albert (Audrey), Doris (Lorie) Lubyk, Louise (Gordon) Fedun, Diane (Wade) Schultz, Laurette (Allen) Scutt, Daniel, Pauline (Michael) Kobes, Marcel (Donna), Gilles (Heather), numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Norman was predeceased by: his father, Paul Bruneau, his brother-in-law, Arthur Larrivee.
