My personal condolences to Charlie's family. Charlie was a stalwart union steward with determined positions and gentle tactics. His input was always valued and I considered a most genuine man. Thank you to the Wheat family for opening your home, and Charlie's, so that we could all say good bye to Charlie. It was a wonderful way to remember him, to feel close to him, and to say good bye. My only wish is that we didn't have to say good bye at all.

Hi Carolyn, so sorry to hear of the passing of your son Charlie. He was so young. We don't expect our children to go before us, do we? I also had two of my children die before me. Peace be with you and your family. Anna Kinney (was Freeman)

Dear Carolyn you are in my heart and prayers as you go through this terrible loss. You have already suffered so much with the loss of your other Charlie and children. May God hold you in his arms, comfort and love you at this time. The year we lived in Dawson Creek you received The Mother of the Year award from the Province and no one deserved it more. Again Carolyn all our love, prayers for you and your family are coming your way.

I was so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I will never forget how Charlie and the family accepted me with open arms when I came to visit the farm with Tammy on 2 occasions. It was my first experience of picking potatoes and I will never forget it. I will never forget Charlie as well. He will be missed. Take care! Kathy Critchley

My heartfelt condolences to Charlie's family. You have lost a stellar member of Society and your family, a compassionate and loving person. I am so sad to know that he no longer walks this earthly plain. Every week or even more frequently he called or my twin sister, Lois Dick, called and they would have long conversations. I would join in on the conference line. I love Charlie. He was a wonderful spiritual being. He was in so much pain since his diagnosis and it was a difficult situation, one he did not feel would resolve. His decision to leave is heartbreaking to those that remain - he is free of pain now. Go Charlie and explore new universes, ones that you create, full of good health, love, happiness and joy as you continue on your path, always helping others. Goodbye my friend. Love and hugs, Linda.

My husband Lorne passed away at the same age as Charlie just over a year ago. Charlie was very supportive and sent me texts that made me laugh and that helped me a lot. He was one of the nicest people I have EVER met. He had the most beautiful smile. God must need some super-angels up there because he's got two of the best now. My sincere condolences on your loss.

Charlie, I am missing our chats already. No wonder you never answered my calls this week. You were the kindest man and your sense of humour and fun shone through at every meeting we had. The world is a sadder place now your shining star has been extinguished. May the next place be kinder to you. You deserve only the best. Shine on my dear friend.
