Obituary of Patrick Roy Leslie
Pat Leslie, a long time resident of Dawson Creek, B.C. passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Dawson Creek at the age of 49 years. Patrick Roy Leslie was born on September 24, 1966 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. He moved from Nanaimo to Cotillion, Alberta in December of 1971.
Pat's puffy white curls and thick black glasses provided a stark contrast. When he removed his glasses his eyes weren't half as big as they appeared. All of this gave him a comic look making you want to hug him. Pat grew to be quite the outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing. He also became a gifted athlete, his speed on skates and ability to carry the puck often surprised people. Pat was a funny, fun-loving guy and a valued employee, among other things. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bishop Jared Toth officiated. Interment will be at a later date. Pat is survived by his mother Ruth, his siblings: Barb, Maggie (Peter), Russel (Sandi), Cliff (Gwen), Tracy (Lorelle), Michele (Paul),Shelley (Alvin), and Annette, along with numerous extended family and many special friends.
For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Pat to the St. Marks Anglican Church Soup Kitchen & Food Bank 1029-103 Avenue, Dawson Creek, B.C. V1G-2G6. Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
