You were Mr. Demeulemeester to me as a young girl playing with Nicole and enjoying family time there. I remember invitations to have lunch on school days, playing after school, and enjoying family dinner. You loved to gently tease the many little people that were always underfoot. Then as the years went by, you became Paul Sr. to me as I got to know your son Paulo , and as he and Teena entered the logging business and brought up your grandsons Jordan and Jonah. Your respect for nature, genteel ways with people, hard work, and supportive approach to growing children and grandchildren has played an enormous role in building strong relationships between so many and instilling the value that we all support each other to make the world a better place. We have been hoping to come explore and hike the lands up there with Paulo and family, and we are sad we missed the opportunity to hear your stories of the land and people. My little boys would have loved your grandfatherly presence!

So sorry to hear of your loss. I'm pretty sure he knew my Grandpa, whom also had a sawmill in the early days and loved to farm. Perhaps they are up there enjoying themselves like in the good old days. I never knew your Dad but he sounds like a wonderful man. I will be thinking of you all during this difficult time.

From Emile and Patricia Blandin, we hereby express our condolences and heartfelt sorrow to Lucy Demeuliemeester and family. We knew Paul and Lucy most all of our lives, especially Emile. As Paul and his beloved brother Pete, worked hand in hand with Auguste Rohel. Emile was part of Auguste's life, Paul and Lucy joined the Rohel family in celebrating Christmas and New Years at Auguste's home many a time. When Pete and Paul had their logging show, that was where Emile learned to run heavy equipment and drive a logging truck. Here is a glimpse of the past, Emile helped to build Paul and Lucy's first home, this is where they slept on the first night they were married. The house was up on barrels ready to be moved in the morning but Paul wanted to sleep in house which they did by climbing up a ladder to get in. Now, that Paul is walking with the Lord and spending time with his beloved brother Pete and telling stories with Auguste Rohel and Delima Blandin, we here on Earth will miss him greatly. Paul was a dedicated family man, a hard worker - a person who never quit. Our hearts go out to you.
