Dear Lex Dear Lex, It has been a little over a week since you left us, and we miss you. We will always miss you. You brought joy and wonder to our lives. Little surprise as you were a christmas wish made good. Although you were only here a short time, you were the greatest gift a mother, father, and sister could ever ask for. Thank You. Thank you for loving us, as much as we love you. Thank you for laughing everyday. And thank you for making us laugh. I'm sorry, so sorry that you didn't get a chance to grow up. I'm sorry for all the wonderful things in life you won't get to experience. And selfishly, I am sorry that I won't get a chance to see the great man that I know you would have become. I am sorry that you will never learn to play the music you loved so much. I'm sorry I will never be able to teach you to cook the food you loved to eat. And I am sorry the world will never get to know you like I do. I want you to know, you are the best son a man could ever ask for. I am so proud that you are mine. And I will always love you. Even though it hurts more than anything has ever hurt before, I think of you everyday. And it will always hurt, but do not worry, as I know you would. From the time you could walk, you would always come to comfort us when we were sad. And you still comfort us, even now when our hearts ache at your loss. Thank you son, for being you. And giving us what little time we had. You are loved, cherished, and forever missed. Love, Dad.
