My deepest condolences to the Gerstel and Sandnes families as this most difficult time. Cindy was a wonderful woman who I had the great pleasure and privilege to get know and work with over the past many years. Her genuine warmth, and caring for those she worked with, her sense of humour, and grace under the pressures of the office were some of the qualities that made her so special. She was a good friend, and we shared many laughs over the years. I will miss our conversations, and her. Her love for her family and friends was endless, and she cherished everyone of them. She was a truly lovely lady, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May you all find peace and comfort in your cherished memories of Cindy.

To the Gerstel & Sandnes Families & everyone else who loved this woman: I am heartbroken for you all to have lost your wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend. She was my friend from the old days of Chetwynd when I lived there. She was always so fun to be around, always positive, always true. Cindy was an important friend growing up in Chetwynd. This beautiful lady gave me a safe place to grow up and feel loved. I played on her ball team called "The Royal's"...this team had the best ball players in town and we conquered every tournament that we played in. Cindy was out Mother Ship, she was our Captain and she kept a bunch of mis-fits that just wanted to have fun...together...<3...The days I spent with this beautiful family are the most memorable days that allowed me to feel what true family is all about...thank you Cindy for allowing me to be a part of you're family.

A shock, especially since Cindy never seemed to age, or the light from her dim since the day we met in elementary school. We all shared so many experiences and growth together through until we graduated- I look back fondly on those days, and Cindy.
