Obituary of Doug Crick
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, and friend, Douglas Owen Crick.
Doug was taken from us suddenly on Sunday, December 10, 2017 in Chetwynd, B.C.at the age of 60 years.
Doug was born on August 14, 1957 in Westlock, Alberta. He spent most of his pre-school years in Alberta and the next twenty years in Hixon, B.C. He graduated from Prince George Senior Secondary School in 1975 and worked in the forest industry in the Hixon area. In 1986 he moved to Dawson Creek again working in the forest industry and later in the oil and gas industry.
Doug was involved in many sports over the years; being an avid hockey player, fast ball player and golfer but his greatest love has always been hunting and fishing.
Doug is survived by his mother Doreen Crick,sister Elaine (Wayne) Thorp, brother, Calvin (CarrieAnn) Crick,
nieces and nephews Jeremy (Sherri) Thorp, Angela (Nevin) Leadlay, Nicholas (CindyLee) Thorp, Tyler (Laine) Crick, Jordan Crick, four great nieces,five great nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Doug was predeceased by his father Ralph Crick and great niece Kennedy Thorp.
A celebration of Doug's life was held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 am from Reynars Chapel. Pauline Haycock officiated. Interment will be at a later date.
