Condolences to the family. I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Bryan when I worked at Advocate Mines and he was a Janitor at the Main Office. When my Mom moved to the Baie View Manor I saw him and he asked me to drop down to see his boat he was building. My Mom and I visited him and saw his awesome carpentry work in progress.I also visited him at the Twin Town Manor in Grand Falls when he, along with my Mom and others, were sent there after the fire. I will always remember him as a soft spoken Gentleman who loved to have a little chat. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time.

Shirley, Sharon and families; we were so sadden to hear of Uncle Bern's passing. Whenever we visited the Manor in BV we always managed to have a little chat. I am glad I visited him in Grand Falls before he left for Chetwynd...he seemed very excited to be seeing his grandchildren again. Thoughts & prayers are with you all. RIP Uncle Bern

Our thoughts are with you Sharon , Shirley and families .. This a very sad time however you have so many fond memories to cherish. I keep thinking back to the few times i would visit at the Manor and ask him if i could take his picture to send you... his face would light up when he heard your names . I think to the day when you had come home and took him out of Grand Falls to head across Canada . How happy he was to be going with you .. and looking forward to spending his time surrounded by family and the pets too ... He was always a dog lover forsure .. You where so fortunate to be able to care for him in his time of need. Not all people would be so blessed to have the opportunity to bring so much joy and happiness into a persons life . I am sure he is at peace now and watching over you all with much pride and admiration.. You girls where so lucky to have a awesome Dad ! Big hugs to you as you prepare for his ‶ celebration of life ‶ and a great cekebration it will be. Take care in the days ahead and find comfort in knowing others are thinking of you

I got to know your dad while I worked @ Baie View Manor . It wasn’t long before I learned he loved working with his hands as I watched on many occasions as he build with pride his many boats in his room. He was also a very quiet spoken man who I enjoyed chatting to on a daily basis. Please accept my deepest Sympathy at this time & be assured of my thoughts & prayers!
