Obituary of Johann Tietjen
Johann Tietjen December 17, 1949 - April 8, 2018 Johann passed away peacefully at his home in Groundbirch on Sunday, April 8, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Christa; daughter Stephanie (Geoff) Stanhope, son John Tietjen, grandchildren Justin (Caylee) Tietjen, and Lukas and Marley Stanhope; and great-grandchildren Avelean and Kate Tietjen. He loved his "little people" and had a very special bond with all of them.

Coming from a strong agricultural heritage, he traded dairy and commercial crop farming in Germany for beef ranching in Canada. He was a great steward of the land and a proud farmer. He enjoyed all challenges, building a successful farm and a beautiful commercial herd of cattle. The family would like to thank everyone for their support and kind words throughout this difficult time. A Celebration of Life was held on May 11, 2018 at the Bergeron Funeral Chapel.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of may be made by donation to the Society for Community Living, 1334 102 Avenue, Dawson Creek, British Columbia, V1G 2C6.
