Obituary of Peggy Goldade

Peggy Goldade 1929 - 2018 It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy Goldade (nee Spencer), longtime resident of the Pouce Coupe and Dawson Creek area, announces her passing on Monday, May 22, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Peggy is predeceased by her husband Tony, son Robert, brothers Ted, Bill and Dick, sister Barbara, and companion in later years Pat Millsap. Peggy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her remaining children, Doug, Ken, Ray, Lucille, Don, and Alan, their spouses, and her brother Jim. She will be fondly remembered by her 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Peggy was born, and grew up in Kelowna, BC then moved to the Pouce Coupe area in 1965. She was a mom any child would wish for. In recent decades, Peggy enjoyed being an active member of the community including, Pouce Coupe Care Home Auxiliary, Pouce Coupe Volunteer, creating the Pouce Coupe DVD documentary, Pouce Coupe Seniors Association, TOPS, Groovy Grannies Line Dancing, Club 55 Bowling and was seen for several years on a horse and buggy in the Pouce Coupe Parade. Kind hearted, ever social, helpful, pleasant and welcoming, Peggy loved spending time with her family and many friends. The family expresses special thanks to Gail Millsap and Velma Schwartz who helped Peggy so much in recent years, gratitude to longtime friend Georgette Waldie, and Peggy's many friends whose company she enjoyed. A tea in celebration of Peggy's life will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34, Pouce Coupe. Everyone is welcome.
