I just learned of this Special Lady's passing. My sincere condolences to all the family. Edna was a very kind & welcoming person. I met Edna many years ago through my Nannie & Gramp (Jean & Slim Geer) and my Mom (Margaret Kosick). Years in between meetings she always made you feel like it was just yesterday. Another great pioneer joining the angels in heaven. Treasure your memories.

This memorial tribute honours my mom’s cousin Edna who lived for many years in Dawson Creek but was born and raised in Buffalo Lakes, Alberta. She passed away in her own home two days ago...Nov. 28th at the age of 95. Doug and I met her totally by accident when we were travelling through DC many years ago and were directed to the home of Edna and Cecil while we were looking for mom’s Uncle Albert. We remained on her friend list all these years...that was about 1970. She was one of THE MOST delightful people we could ever have met. (Her mom and my grandpa Hallett were siblings). I had hoped to return to Dawson Creek this year but it was not to be...one of my biggest regrets. I really loved that lady. I am so sad for all of you who never met her. Rest in Peace , dear Edna. Love always, Helen

Sending warm condolences to the whole family. Her love will be in your hearts forever. Auntie was a very special lady who touched so many family and friends in her 95 years. We have many cherished memories of our times together. She was an excellent cook and baker, just a couple of her many talents. Our thoughts are with all of you.

My condolences to the Nelson and Lawrence families in the loss of a special lady, I first became acquainted with Brown Owl Nelson when I joined the Brownie group at Grandview School. I will always remember her as a kind, caring and patience person. Over the years I had the privilege to visit with Edna from time to time. Rest in Peace Edna knowing that you positively impacted many young girls lives.
