Murray wrote me a lovely card, ‘Patty if we stay on the narrow roads it will lead to many successes for you & your little ones. I’m very happy you were here to share your smiles, energy, humor and much more! Blessings in all your future endeavours for you & Hubby. Murray James.’ He will forever remain in my heart, he was a special kind soul that became devoted & attempted to right wrongs even when life became a struggle. Luke 23:42 Condolences to the family, he was a pleasure to know!

So sad, Murray, may you continue to bring joy to those around you in the after life. Because in my days with you, you gave me a part of you I still to this day carry and is part of my character. You made me feel in my youth that I mattered, thank you for that. I wish I could of said my words at your funeral but unfortunately I missed it. Todd and Tracey, my friends, we had great times and your Dad was a big part of that, he was fun. I think of those days a lot. See you in the after life Murray, I look for ya. Lance

I see that smiling face, always smiling. Brings back memories of all the years that you made me laugh, left me in awe of your calm sweet nature, and so lovingly tolerated the middle of the night phone calls over the many years from Tracey and myself, always happy to hear from us. I only actually physically saw you maybe 10 times over the last 30 years being that I lived elsewhere, but the phone calls and stories always made me feel like I knew you forever. My Heart is sad because the world will be missing your gentleness and kindness, but my Heart is also a little grateful that your devoted Daughter Tracey was there with you in your last hours. What a beautiful gift for both of you. I know that you know this, but I think she took such good care of you, even from afar, you meant the world to her and her boys. I want to tell you thank you for being a big influence in my life. Thank you for all the conversations we had where even in a room full or yard full of people, you made me feel like I was the only one there. I will miss you Murr and I will miss hearing about you although I am sure the stories will continue. Rest in Peace my friend, the world will miss you, you are respected, you are valued and you are loved. Until we meet again. Love Dori

Our sincerest condolences to Murray’s family. We are so sad that we won’t be able to attend the service. Murray was such a great guy. He always had time to stop for a chat. I saw him many times while he was at Northview and Rotary Manor (singing:). And the last few months, a huge smile and a really big wave:). Many years ago, when Larry finished building his first stock car, Murray took him out to the track to try it out. After Larry’s accident, Murray took Larry down to Dawson Equipment to see his stock car (which he hadn’t remembered). Fond memories of a great guy:).

Many good memories of laughter with Murray - for years he was our token 'patient' at our office staff parties at our house and always brought good vibes - He had a good heart and loved his family completely. I always enjoyed chatting with him in town and later at Rotary when visiting Mom. RIP old friend and best to the family.

We are so saddened by the passing of Murray. He was always smiling and had a good word for everyone, even when it was evident that he was having a hard time. We would invite him to our table to visit with everyone and he was happy to come. He has a real love for God and some times when we came to see my mom, he was all dressed up to go to a bible study. He always looked forward to that. He would always wait at the door, with a big smile on his face. His faith was upbuilding to those around him. We will really miss him. He was a wonderful person and speaking with those at Rotary Manor, they are all so saddened by his passing, as well. He was dearly loved by all. Carol, Larry, Marg, Alex, Dorothy and many others sent their condolences, from Rotary Manor, as well. May the God of comfort be with you all, at this time. 2 Corinthians 1: 3,4

I remember meeting Murray 30 plus years ago when I decided to stop drinking. He was always supportive of the young people coming in to AA and made time to have coffee and give his support. I know he had struggles of his own but he was alway there to share a smile, joke, hug and story. You were a great guy Murray and have touched many peoples lives, especially those struggling with addictions. My sincere condolences to Murray’s family .

I was sad to hear the passing of Murray. I visited him last time I was in Dawson Creek. Regardless of how Murray was feeling, he always had a smile. Everytime I was in Dawson, I'd usually run into Murray somewhere. Murray you were a very friendly, caring person, and always had time for everyone. You will be missed.
