Obituary of Sonia Gibson
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sonia Jean Gibson (nee Miller), a resident of Chetwynd, British Columbia on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the age of 63 years. She was born on September 27, 1956 in Dawson Creek, BC.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Kelly (Tyler) Thompson, Boden Gibson, and Ben Cardinal; grandchildren Austen Thompson (Alisha Graff), Dreyten Thompson, Zane Gibson, Gage Gibson, and Lexie Gibson; Siblings Teresa Stojan, Kathy (John) Bowen, Richard (Patty) Miller, and David Miller; Ex-husband Bernard Gibson; Mother-in-law Margaret Gibson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Sonia was predeceased by her parents Viola and Donald Miller, and nephews Scott and Brent Miller.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private graveside service was held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 1:00pm at Brookside Cemetery, Dawson Creek, BC. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Sonia to the Canadian Cancer Society 565 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Z 4J4.
