Obituary of Beryl Ella Hampton
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beryl Ella Hampton, resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 77 years. Beryl was born in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan on June 23, 1943 to Leroy and Edna Deter. She was their fourth child. Beryl married and started a family in Alberta where she resided for a short time before moving to Dawson Creek and raising her children as a single parent.
Beryl enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, watching her favorite TV shows and the occasional bingo games. She especially loved having dinners with her family. Having her grandchildren visit was also one of her joys of life. Driving around with her son Carl and his family at Christmas time looking at all the beautiful lights was also a special occasion she looked forward to.
Beryl was predeceased by her parents Leroy and Edna Deter; brothers Frank (Linda), John (Jean) and brother in-law Gordon Toms.
Beryl is survived by her children Leanne, Shirley (Mike Laviolette), Ed (Linda Griffin), Tammy (Dale) Studley, Tracy (Cliff) Neil, Carl (Melanie Wilson); grandchildren Nicole, Darren, Felisha, Chelsie, Christopher, Tamara, Tyonnia, Natasha, Kyle, Christina, Kristyn, Ryan, Nathan, Ella, Mikey, and Abby; great grandchildren Scarlett, Ava, Austyn, Maddison, Dean, Easton, Alyssa, and Owen; her brother Ralph Deter (Loretta), Sisters Eunice Minchau, and Barb Toms (Gordon); nephews and nieces Ron Toms (Joy), Cindy Groner (Hugh), Heather Toms, Thor Toms, Leroy Minchau (Lisa), Randy, Ray, Tanya, and Vanessa as well as numerous great nephews and nieces.
At Beryls request there will be no funeral, however the family will hold a luncheon to be announced at a later date.
