Obituary of Butch Schwieger
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Butch (Stan) Schwieger, life long resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, on Monday, March 1 2021 at the age of 67 years.
Butch was born in Dawson Creek, B.C. on December 16, 1953, to a large family.
His true love was being a grandpa. The queen of his house was definitely his little dog Duchess.
Butch was a fine man. An old school guy who was respected a lot and was looked up to. He said what was on his mind, and his word was his bond. HE MEANT WHAT HE SAID, AND HE SAID WHAT HE MEANT.
It was always important to Butch to take care of the blue collar working man and keep him rolling. Throughout the years Butch had many trades from heavy duty mechanics, being
a real estate agent and owning a trucking company.
Butchs love for rodeo was always with him. He loved driving wagons as well as watching them. One of his biggest dreams was to drive the big wagons in the Big Show.
When he wasnt working, he was with his little wiener dog Duchess, traveling, and camping
Butch is survived by his long-time partner Rose Janzen, his fur buddy Little Man Bo, his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends. He will be missed by all.
For friends so wishing to honor Butchs love for the sport of rodeo, donations can made in his memory to the BC High School Rodeo Association, Box 6841, Fort St. John, BC, V1J 4H6.
There will be a celebration of life for Butch at a later date.
Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
