We are sad and heart broken to announce the passing of Blanche Pack on May 2, 2021 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia at the age of 86 years. Blanche was born in Sexsmith, Alberta on November 16, 1934 to Colin and Elizabeth Fraser. Blanche grew up on the family farm in Teepee Creek, Alberta with 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She left home at an early age and attended Fairview Colleges Inaugural Year graduating in 1953 in Home Economics. She later moved to Beaverlodge where she met her husband Ken and was married in 1957. They lived in Dawson Creek, British Columbia where they had 2 children, Wade, born in 1958 and Debbie born in 1961. They moved to Pouce Coupe, BC in 1979. Her husband Ken, passed away in 2001, then in 2009 Blanche took up residence at Selwyn Place in Dawson Creek, BC until her passing. During her life she had many passionate hobbies and interests. Sewing was her life long passion making many items for herself, family and friends. Her other passion was horses. Whether it be trail rides, going to rodeos, riding in parades in the Peace Country or going to gymkhana. In her younger years Blanche enjoyed the bowling leagues, going out for coffee, dancing, watching her husband and son playing baseball and camping. Later in life she enjoyed her bingo and visiting with family and friends, telling her stories whether it be the short version or the long version. Blanche was predeceased by her husband Ken, parents Colin and Elizabeth Fraser and 6 siblings, sisters Ruth (Harold) Coe, Isabel (Murray) Lay, Dorothy (Gordon) Rycroft, Zanne (Don) Allen, Zelda Fraser and brother Harold (Vi & Dot) Fraser. Blanche leaves to mourn her children Wade (Louise) Pack, Debbie (Dean) Robertson, her brother Bob (Doris) Fraser, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, extended family and friends. At this time Blanches family would like to thank all friends, homecare and Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium and a special thank you to Blanches adoptive family at Selwyn Place Apartments. For friends and family so wishing, donations may be in Blanches memory to the BC Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, V6H 2K2 or a charity of your choice. We regret that due to COVID restrictions there will be no formal funeral service at this time. A private family interment will take place. Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
