Obituary of Berneda Kersey
Berneda Elaine (Countryman) Kersey, resident of Fort St John, British Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Fort St John, BC from cancer at the age of 69 years. Berneda was born in Wallaceburg, Ontario to Georgina and Arnold Countryman on October 31, 1952.
She married Stanley Kersey on October 1, 1988, in Chatham, Ontario. Berneda enjoyed spending time with her dear friends and family and the love of her dog "Lady". Berneda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stanley Kersey, sisters Linda Lee, Sharon, and a brother Gordie.
Berneda is survived by her stepson Richard Paton (Wanda) of Dawson Creek, BC.; her grandchildren Phillip, Colby, Davis, Jason, and Victoria Paton; and great grandchildren Amicia Bo Simmonds-Joe as well as many extended family and friends.
Berneda will be remembered for her loving nature, her playfulness, and her occasional endearing stubbornness.
The family of Berneda Kersey wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and homecare nurses, and her dear friend Amy Welch.
