Obituary of Walter Kulachkosky

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Kulachkosky, age 92, formerly of Bonanza, AB and Dawson Creek, BC, passed away peacefully at Aspen Ridge Lodge in Didsbury, AB, on November 28, 2021. He was born in Bonanza, AB on July 20, 1929 to Anton and Catherine Kulachkosky. In 1947 Walter graduated from St. Joseph High School in Grande Prairie. On October 6, 1955, he married Mary Sajtovich. They farmed in Bonanza for many years before retiring to Dawson Creek, BC. In 1960, Walter received his Rural Wireman Certificate, which allowed him the opportunity to work on many projects for various neighbours. Walter loved to visit, and working on these projects provided lots of time for that. He always had a patient ear, a kind word, and a cheerful sense of humour to add to any conversation. His love for the community was well known, and he was always willing to give help wherever it was needed. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Karen (John), his grandchildren Ben and Amy (Shayne), and his sister Elsie. He is predeceased by his loving wife Mary, his son Jim, and his brother John. A small, private, family graveside service will be held for Walter at the Bonanza Cemetery. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Walter to the Bonanza & District Agricultural Society, General Delivery, Bonanza, AB T0H 0K0 Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
