So very sorry to hear of Uncle Jack's passing. I have not seen him in many years but remember him as a kind, gentle soul who had time for everyone. In watching the video of the service it seems as though everyone remembers him the same way. Please know we are thinking of you and wishing you strength and courage going forward. All our Love....Alan and Shelley Cunningham and sons Logan and Ryan. Yellowknife, N.T

When I was in my 20’s I got the provide Preschool/Daycare to two of Jacks Grandkids at Precious Jewels. Nicest Grandpa always brought a smile to everyone when he dropped off his Grandkids or was seen by all the kids doing maintenance around Mountain Christian school/ Bethel . Latter on I use to run in to Jack & his wife in McDonald’s. Sending lots of love to Family & friends

I am deeply honoured to have been able to watch the on-line celebration of Jack's life - thank you to everyone for making this possible. Ever since I was a little boy at Bethel, Jack was my trusted friend throughout the years and up to the present time. We crossed paths many times over the years. Jack was known by so many, yet he always made sure there was enough Jack to go around. Each time I saw him I always told him I loved him dearly as a friend, and he would tear up, but so did I. I look forward to seeing your again Jack...

My first encounter with Jack was on December 2000. I was asked to come and speak at Bethel. They were looking for a pastor and so it was to meet us and to speak for the call. Three men asked me to meet them for coffee on Friday before Sunday. Jack was one of those men. The meeting was to check me out and to see if I would be a good fit for Dawson Creek. Many questions were asked, but Jack’s question was, how I felt about camp. I told Jack I loved camp, had many great experiences, including meeting my wife there. That began a 20+ year relationship with Jack. Over those years we were at camp many times, coffee with the boys, and all kinds of church meetings. Jack was a very special and dedicated man. He always could be counted on to be there. He was a faithful man, to his wife, his family, his friends, his work, to church, and to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Over the many years, Jack and I had many conversations in my office. He was a great blessing to Linda and I and we will always value his life and dedication. One day we shall meet again. God bless his family and may you follow his wonderful example. Love Rev. Gordon Warriner.

Jack McConnell was the world's most incredible man, bar none !!! .. Personally, he had a huge role in molding me into the man that I am today and his calm supportive manner will never be forgotten. The family, friends and associates are so incredibly fortunate to be blessed to have had Jack in their lives .. My deepest sympathies to Doris, the family and all the grandkids and great grandkids ..
